RP example:
She walked into the court room, her back on her shoulder. She walked over to the table at which she had been sitting that morning. She came back fifteen minutes before she was required back. The judge had called an hour recess for lunch. She had eaten in the dinner a block away so it didn't take her long to eat. What took the time was going over the case. She had come back early so sh could have some place quiet to review.
She was representing the DA against a man accused of murdering his wife. It was by far one of the most difficult cases she had ever worked. Not because he man on trial, Jeff Henry, had a background but because there plenty of witnesses saying that he did not commit the crime. He committed numerous crimes: grand theft auto; bank robbery; and kidnapping- all very serious crimes. He was convicted of the each crime.
The lawyer representing the defendant walked in. "Hello, Ms Scott. We're here early aren't we?" Madison Clark. She did not like him very much. He used to work for the DA. Clark was a very good lawyer but he was arrogant. "Trying to win a case you must loose?" He said this with a smile on his face.
She just rolled her eyes and continued what she was doing. "You might want to do the same, Madison." He chuckled. "Come on, me. Ha!" The court room began to fill up with people who were and against Henry. At five minutes until two, Jeff Henry was brought in and sat down.
Judge McCain, for that was who was presiding, came in. "Clark, your call."
"I would like to call our next witness, Marshall Hall."
Questions were asked witness after witness until nearly six. This had been going on for nearly three weeks and it was finally finished, except for the jury's job.
They went away to find the verdict. It took another two hours.
"We find the defendant Jefferey Thomas Henry the third guilty of manslaughter.
